WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE CHAPTER PRESIDENT
Welcome Brothers, Supporters and Friends to the Website of
the Nu Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. It gives me great
pleasure to greet you as the new President of this dynamic chapter as we enter
our 30th Year of service to the community. As a chapter whose focus has
consistently been centered on developing leaders, providing service to the
community and strengthening the bonds of Brotherhood, we have adopted for the
2009 – 2010 Fraternal Year a theme of::

Alpha has always been at the forefront of the African American Community and Nu
Mu Lambda is no different. Throughout this past year, Nu Mu Lambda has continued
to build upon the strong foundation laid over the past 29 years. The Hallmark of
all our initiatives is our mentoring program, Young Men of Excellence which has
been so successful that it is being expanded from only serving Elementary
African-American males to a program that will now additionally mentor the same
demographic at the Middle School level. In keeping with our General Presidents
Theme of “From the Highchair To Higher Education” we definitely plan to continue
our expansion of this much needed initiative. Our National Programs such as
“Project Alpha” and “A Voteless People is a Hopeless People” remain high on our
list of concerns but just as important, is the health and well being of our
Brothers and ALL African-American Males. Under the direction of our previous
administration, we have deemed this a priority through the formation of our
Health and Wellness Initiative in which we exercise, participate in citywide
health events and share important information with the Citizens of the Metro
Atlanta area that is vital to the longevity of our community. Please take a
moment to browse through our site and feel free to share with us what you like
about it. If there is anything we can do to assist you or your organization with
strengthening the community, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our
Fraternity’s Mission states that “Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops
leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service
and advocacy for our communities”. Nu Mu Lambda is determined to support this
mission into and well beyond our 30th Anniversary. Thank You for stopping by and
